The cloud, virtualization, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) help make IT's life easier — and the whole organization more agile — but each of these features also presents serious security challenges. Although there is no one-size-fits-all solution to managing security in the enterprise 2.0 world, the enhanced security features and user-centric offerings in Microsoft Windows Server 2012 make security a much more comfortable proposition for IT. Read this technology brief to learn how Windows Server 2012 helps to mitigate risks and streamline compliance, as well.

Transforming IT to meet the emerging requirements of a rapidly advancing digital economy is a priority for most companies today. Market economies and quickly evolving digital interactions are driving new and increasing demands on IT infrastructure for organizations of all kinds – from small businesses to enterprises to public institutions. IT requirements to support a variety of digital use paradigms (personal devices, IoT, VMs, VDI) are changing quickly, and organizations need to respond in order to be competitive in this evolving digital world.
Everybody has their favorite apps. But can you name even three mobile websites you like? We can’t. it’s because responsive retrofits to 20-year-old desktop web designs fail to serve us in our mobile moments of need. That’s a shame because even with lousy sites, web traffic around the world will be majority-mobile by 2019. eBusiness pros have a choice: hand your mobile moments over to a bunch of apps you don’t own, or do a radical reset of your mobile web strategy. This report carries the evidence to convince your company to make your mobile website a firstclass citizen.

Most security effectiveness tests take a sample of known malicious content, and see how many threats each solution can catch. Unfortunately, stopping known threats — those with a known signature, reputation or destination — isn't enough to protect real-world networks.
So we designed a new test, along with leading independent test laboratory Miercom*, that simulates a typical day on a network like yours. We put a large sample of web traffic of unknown nature through our TRITON-powered Websense® Web Security Gateway solution, along with competing web gateways and firewalls. Each solution had a fair and equal chance to analyze, classify and block threats as it would on your network.
More than 23 million servers in the world are still running on the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating system, making it the most popular engine for serving information and applications globally for over a decade. But, starting in July 2015, Microsoft will no longer provide basic support for it.
This paper is divided into two parts. The first part provides some background and a comparison of the types of episode analytics. Part two explores the real-world experiences of payers and providers in using episode analytics for payment bundling and other purposes.
Finally, we offer some recommendations on how to use episode analytics to reduce variations and manage contracts that involve financial risk.
Data is the lifeblood of your business. To compete in today’s global information economy, you need to keep your IT systems up and running and provide consistent and reliable access to
business-critical applications at all times. Application downtime or slow performance can mean diminished employee productivity, dissatisfied customers, and lost revenue.
But keeping pace with change and managing growth can be a real challenge. Increasing numbers of applications, evolving technology, and rapid data growth are pushing older IT
infrastructure to the limit—demanding more storage and bandwidth, greater security and agility, and higher availability than ever before.
With new technologies, new opportunities often emerge, especially in business. The advent of innovations, such as social media and mobile devices, is changing the ways businesses interact with customers and the ways in which customers desire to be engaged. Opportunities arising from the benefits of salesforce automation, business intelligence (BI), and customer relationship management (CRM) applications are providing new levels of insight, helping businesses acquire customers more efficiently and retain those customers longer. As a direct result, organizations that invest in better understanding potential customers are likely to see higher returns than those organizations that possess a more limited understanding of their customer base. Seeking the competitive advantage resulting from improved customer focus, IT organizations have increased investment in business intelligence and analytics and the underlying infrastructure to support those applications.
It’s likely not a matter of if, but when your company will fall prey to targeted attack involving malware, ransomware, data exfiltration, or phishing. In fact, 70% of organizations reported a security incident that negatively impacted their business in the past year. Learn more about the realities of cybercrime in today’s hyperconnected world.
It is possible that a significant number of people reading this piece may find themselves confused, or at least intrigued, by its title: “The Importance of Flash Storage in a Hybrid IT World.” Might it be that two separate white papers have been inadvertently muddled and integrated? After all, "hybrid IT" is about a sweeping strategic trend for the industry, whereas "flash storage" seems prosaically tactical. Download to read more!
"The Enterprise Strategy Group put HPE SimpliVity hyperconverged infrastructure through its paces in a series of hands-on performance and stress tests simulating real-world configurations and load conditions.
Read this report to learn how an HPE SimpliVity infrastructure:
Ran nine workloads simultaneously, with an average response time across all applications of 3.9ms
Showed little to no performance impact as a virtual controller, drive, and node were systematically failed on a two-node cluster."

The insurance industry boasts some of the most sophisticated modeling capabilities in the world. And yet the average property underwriter does not have access to the kind of predictive tools that carriers use at a portfolio level to manage risk aggregation, streamline reinsurance buying and optimize capitalization.
The advent of artificial intelligence (AI) has shown incredible promise across a wide range of industries. But the benefits of automation have mostly occurred through Robotic Process Automation (RPA), which automates repetitive, mundane tasks – liberating workers to focus on higher-level business initiatives that only humans are capable of providing. After successful trials in most of the world’s largest organizations, automation and AI are poised to transform the global workplace. Making Work Human: 5 Challenges, research by Goldsmiths, University of London, supported by Automation Anywhere, seeks to uncover the main obstacles that organizations must now overcome in order to scale automation and AI, and recognize the true potential of these ground-breaking technologies.
Advertisers have made great strides in understanding consumers’ digital journeys. But in order to truly map the steps of the consumer, including bridging the journeys between digital and physical worlds, you need advanced location-enabled intelligence. Find out how precise real-world geometry gives you the context you require to create personalized consumer experiences with the HERE and Location-Based Marketing Association (LBMA) white paper.
HERE Technologies gives you the location context you need to make sense of your dynamic user data. Mapping consumer movements to real-world elements such as points of interest, retailers and their building shapes allows you to observe consumer journeys to within meters, and deliver more timely, accurate campaign messages.
Advertisers are beginning to invest in location insights which give them data on how and why transactions are made in specific places. And with nearly all smartphones equipped with geolocation abilities, advertisements can be made location-aware with improved precision for targeting. Understanding location is key to gaining improved insights.
HERE offers data sets and services that advertisers can use to contextualize consumer movements and habits in the world around them to provide well-timed and relevant advertising.

In a market where compute and storage resources can be bought on demand with a credit card, vendors
of on-premises hardware are seeking to tip the scales in their favor with ‘cloud-like’ pricing models that
eliminate the need to commit capital to new platforms. At Dell EMC World in May, Dell Financial Services
(DFS) rolled out Cloud Flex for HCI (hyperconverged infrastructure), part of the company’s push to evangelize
the start-small-and-scale-up virtues of HCI technology.
Cloud Flex lets customers acquire equipment on an all-opex basis, with no up-front product cost, steady
monthly payments that reduce by up to 30% annually, and the ability to turn in equipment any time after
12 months without penalty. It’s part of a series of moves by Dell EMC meant to ease the financial risk of
sticking with on-premises infrastructure in a cloud-enabled world
