Virtualization is the standard in enterprise IT environments for consolidating servers, enhancing businstrators that reduces their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and helps speed the application development process. However, as improvements have been made with server technology, storage technoless continuity, and improving business agility. VMware provides an architecture for server adminiogy has become the bottleneck. Legacy storage solutions can’t keep pace with thousands of virtual machines demanding maximum IOPS along with high bandwidth at the lowest latency. Infinidat’s InfiniBox removes the storage bottleneck for VMware environments. The InfiniBox enterprise storage array delivers faster-than-all-flash performance, high availability, and capacity density at petabyte scale. This Infinidat white paper is written for VMware and storage administrators to introduce them to the integration capabilities of the InfiniBox for VMware.
DigitalOcean commissioned Cloud Spectator to evaluate the performance of virtual machines (VMs) from three different Cloud Service Providers (CSPs): Amazon Web Services, Google Compute Engine and DigitalOcean. Cloud Spectator tested the various VMs to evaluate the CPU performance, Random Access Memory (RAM) and storage read and write performance of each provider’s VMs. The purpose of the study was to understand Cloud service performance among major Cloud providers with similarly-sized VMs using a standardized, repeatable testing methodology. Based on the analysis, DigitalOcean’s VM performance was superior in nearly all measured VM performance dimensions, and DigitalOcean provides some of the most compelling performance per dollar available in the industry.
The increasing demands of application and database workloads, growing numbers of virtual machines, and more powerful processors are driving demand for ever-faster storage systems. Increasingly, IT organizations are turning to solid-state storage to meet these demands, with hybrid and all-flash arrays taking the place of traditional disk storage for high performance workloads.

Because many SQL Server implementations are running on virtual machines already, the use of a hyperconverged appliance is a logical choice. The Dell EMC XC Series with Nutanix software delivers high performance and low Opex for both OLTP and analytical database applications. For those moving from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2016, this hyperconverged solution provides particularly significant benefits.
Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants prides itself on the personalized connection between hotel staff and guests. In order to be successful, their IT infrastructure needs to be agile, secure, and reliable.
After deploying EMC converged infrastructure from VCE, Kimpton achieved a 25 percent reduction in operating expenses, and they can now stand up virtual machines (VMs) in minutes to capitalize on business opportunities, compared to days or weeks with the old infrastructure. Read this customer case study to find out more about how Kimpton was able to reduce their costs while improving the performance of their IT environment.

Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 solution was compared to two implementations each from McAfee and Trend Micro. Testing encompassed various scanning and system update functions over virtual machines. Read on to figure out which performed best.
Go beyond one-dimensional virtual machine performance. Foglight for Virtualization helps you visualize, analyze and optimize your entire virtual infrastructure health. In this technical brief, learn how Foglight simplifies cross-platform database performance monitoring and management. Read it today.
To ensure the full potential of your virtual platform solution, you need to make sure your application and storage network is prepared to handle the added stresses of a virtual machine (VM) infrastructure. F5® technology enables your network to adapt to virtualization needs, ensure high availability (HA), maximize resources, and improve performance so you can get the most out of your investment.
The VSPEX Private Cloud architecture provides customers with a modern system capable of hosting many virtual machines at a consistent performance level. EMC's modular solutions are built with technologies that enable faster deployment, greater simplicity, greater choice, higher efficiency, and lower risk.
Storage is at the heart of any data center application. Whether you’re managing hundreds of virtual machine images or millions of records, you need to be able to save, search for, and retrieve that data in the optimal amount of time.
In this White Paper we’ll explore how you can manage your storage needs, optimize storage performance, and do so while saving money at the same time.
"VM performance is ultimately determined by the underlying physical hardware and the hypervisor that serves as the foundation for your virtual infrastructure. This foundation has become simpler over the years, but there are still several areas that need to be fine-tuned to maximize the VM performance for your environment.
