The US Safe Harbor framework has been replaced with Privacy Shield, and on top of this is the e-Privacy Regulation, which takes specific interest in electronic communications, cookies for tracking user behaviour online, and other issues around personal data and consent.
The APM market is one of the largest subsegments of the IT operations management market, with 2016 revenue of approximately $3.7 billion and a growth rate exceeding 18% over the prior year. Given these statistics, it is no surprise that Gartner observes continuing investment. Interestingly, while Gartner has observed many new startups appearing on the radar screen, we've also seen large software organizations such as CA Technologies, IBM, Oracle and Microsoft (re)investing at the same time. Other non-APM companies are also expressing potential interest in the market — almost all of the current APM suite providers expect to see companies like Google and Amazon boost their primarily infrastructure monitoring capabilities with increased support for application visibility. Yet these (and other large) cloud companies will pose another challenge for the traditional APM players — the battle for talent acquisition. There is some concern within the APM market that highly skilled individuals may

Integrated business planning offers organizations the ability to align operations and sales strategy with the company’s continuous financial performance. An increasing number of organizations have shown that even small steps toward integrated business planning have helped them deliver immediate benefits to the business, including light-touch forecasts, rapid “what-if” analyses, and more accurate budgets. Challenge: An air purifier manufacturer needed to remind customers to periodically change filters to maintain product efficiency and deliver consistent customer experience.
Solution: We helped them develop a Bluetooth enabled ‘smart’ air filter, where an embedded sensor measured the effectiveness of the filter and relayed that information to an iOS or Android app. Users were alerted when filters needed replacing, and given the opportunity to buy directly through online retailers and also to subscribe to the Amazon Device Replenishment Service.
• Increased revenue through replacement filter sales
• Expected to touch 50,000 users in the first year
• Integrated with Amazon Alexa for seamless digital experience
• Powerful product differentiation in a crowded market
