Our inclusion criteria for this Magic Quadrant emphasize the financial wherewithal of the digital commerce vendors as well as the robustness of their digital commerce platforms, most of which enable large volumes of buying transactions and significant levels of digital commerce GMV revenue. Many platforms support the needs of multiple industries and multiple regions, if not offer global support.

Over the past few years, new IT infrastructure options for enterprise transactional applications have arisen thanks to numerous improvements in storage processing power and the robustness of networking protocols. SAN protocols are no longer the only option for IT storage administrations. VMware, Hyper-V, SQL, and even SAP and Oracle deployments have taken advantage of the benefits offered by NFS, and more recently SMB 3, network-attached storage (NAS) protocols. However, support for NAS protocols alone is not enough. EMC and Brocade understand that supporting enterprise applications requires delivering enterprise storage and networking capabilities to maximize resiliency and performance.
Security and Resilience in Cloud, Hybrid and Multicloud Deployments
This white paper describes the challenges and motivations facing cloud, hybrid and multicloud users as they consider how to deliver traditional levels of security and robustness, while maintaining the API-enabled virtues of flexibility and short lead-times of cloud-enabled IT.
• Critical considerations associated with cryptographic key management for multicloud users
• Implement solutions that are capable of maintaining an always-on service
In the beginning, an SOA-based approach was used for projects in individual departments, usually for those with high returns, short-term rewards, and relatively low risk, with typically a high degree of new development. But as the value of the SOA concept has become more apparent and its tools have grown in both scope and robustness, organizations are applying them more broadly, to organizational-size problems and mission critical issues, leveraging more and more existing code and production systems.
Cloud computing allows companies to use IT resources as a service, taking advantage of shared applications, processing and storage managed within the cloud - either inside a private cloud at an internal data center, or in an external cloud at a service provider. Greater robustness of the virtualized servers supporting this new IT model will ensure a resilient cloud infrastructure capable of delivering "on-demand" access to users.

Patching is a key strategy for managing vulnerabilities and ensuring enterprise-wide security. Unfortunately, there are often so many flaws in software that patching becomes an overwhelming process.
This white paper describes an approach to patch management that allows you to prioritize vulnerabilities that pose the greatest risk and accelerate the speed at which patches are applied. Also inside, find ten steps to improve patching – read on to learn more.
Vulnerabilities in web applications are a major vector for cyber-crime. In large organizations, vulnerable web applications comprised 54% of all hacking breaches and led to 39% of compromised records, according to the 2012 Data Breach Investigation Report by Verizon Business.
This paper describes how large enterprises can effectively discover, catalog and scan web applications to control this major risk vector as part of their organization’s overall vulnerability management program.
