This report tackles the challenges, standards and best approaches to thermal efficiency in existing facilities largely due to them being more prevalent when compared to a new facility. You will be introduced to four best practices that are absolutely critical to achieving an optimal thermal environment. The report also explores the future of datacenter cooling and introduces emerging technologies.
"Traditional remote access technologies—like VPNs, proxies, and remote desktops—provide access in much the same way they did 20 years ago. However, new and growing business realities—like a growing mobile and distributed workforce—are forcing enterprises to take a different approach to address the complexity and security challenges that traditional access technologies present.
Read 5 Reasons Enterprises Need a New Access Model to learn about the fundamental changes enterprises need to make when providing access to their private applications."
To compete successfully in today’s economy, companies from all industries require the ability to deliver software faster, with higher quality, and reduced risk and costs. This is only possible with a modern software factory that can deliver quality software continuously. Yet for most enterprises, testing has not kept pace with modern development methodologies. A new approach to software testing is required: Continuous Testing.
In the first session in a series, join product management leadership to gain in-depth insights on how by shifting testing left, and automating all aspects of test case generation and execution, continuous testing, it enables you to deliver quality software faster than ever.

The world has changed. Yesterday everyone had a managed PC for work and all enterprise data was behind a firewall. Today, mobile devices are the control panel for our personal and professional lives. This change has contributed to the single largest technology-driven lifestyle change of the last 10 years.
As productivity tools, mobile devices now access significantly more data than in years past. This has made mobile the new frontier for a wide spectrum of risk that includes cyber attacks, a range of malware families, non-compliant apps that leak data, and vulnerabilities in device operating systems or apps. A secure digital business ecosystem demands technologies that enable organizations to continuously monitor for threats and provide enterprise-wide visibility into threat intelligence.

Digital transformation is not a buzzword. IT has moved from the back office to the front office in nearly
every aspect of business operations, driven by what IDC calls the 3rd Platform of compute with mobile,
social business, cloud, and big data analytics as the pillars. In this new environment, business leaders
are facing the challenge of lifting their organization to new levels of competitive capability, that of
digital transformation — leveraging digital technologies together with organizational, operational, and
business model innovation to develop new growth strategies. One such challenge is helping the
business efficiently reap value from big data and avoid being taken out by a competitor or disruptor
that figures out new opportunities from big data analytics before the business does.
From an IT perspective, there is a fairly straightforward sequence of applications that businesses can
adopt over time that will help put direction into this journey. IDC outlines this sequence to e
Attracting & retaining talent are two of the most important functions of an HR organization, but paper has a nasty habit of tying up HR resources and keeping them from adding strategic value to the business. What’s more, new and existing employees must often wade through stacks of paper at various times throughout their tenure, which can reduce productivity, create frustration, and impact employee morale. This eBook will show you how these paper pains manifest for employees and HR at each stage of the employee lifecycle – and what impact they can have on the business as a whole. You will also learn how adoption of technologies like DocuSign can lead to a competitive advantage in HR.
As IT evolves towards a more business-aligned position, it must seek out new ways of working that support more effective operations, service creation, and service delivery. These include technologies, processes, and a culture that supports higher levels of accountability, as well as more dynamic responsiveness to business needs.

Continuous member service is an important deliverable for credit unions, and. the continued growth in assets and members means that the impact of downtime is affecting a larger base and is therefore potentially much more costly. Learn how new data protection and recovery technologies are making a huge impact on downtime for credit unions that depend on AIX-hosted applications.
Digital transformation has arrived, and it’s creating unprecedented opportunities for companies of all sizes to become market leaders through the evolution of business processes and the creation of new products and services. Organizations that master digital transformation will see a dramatic increase in revenues and profitability by converging people, processes and technologies; those that do not will struggle to survive. Evidence of this is clear to see by looking at the churn in the biggest
companies in the world. For example, a Capgemini study found that since 2000, 52% of the Fortune 500 has disappeared through acquisitions or bankruptcies. The study also found that digital organizations control 70% of market share in all industries today. Therefore, making the shift to a digital business must be a top initiative for IT and business leaders.

Leading companies and technology providers are rethinking the fundamental model of analytics, and the contours of a new paradigm are emerging. The new generation of analytics goes beyond Big Data (information that is too large and complex to manipulate without robust software), and the traditional narrow approach of analytics which was restricted to analysing customer and financial data collected from their interactions on social media. Today companies are embracing the social revolution, using real-time technologies to unlock deep insights about customers and others and enable better-informed decisions and richer collaboration in real-time.

Digital information has quickly become the lifeblood of business success, enabling firms to become more
operationally efficient and to better serve their customers. As companies seek to harness their data in new ways, the
infrastructure that houses that data can falter under the strain. In response, new innovations have emerged to help
address the concerns of managing and protecting these increasingly important data capacities. While some vendors
focus innovation development on software alone and allow the hardware to remain commodity, Dell Technologies is

The ever-rising tide of demands on IT organizations is creating constant pressure on their leaders to upgrade or replace their outmoded legacy systems with new infrastructure technologies that will allow them to keep pace with the speed of business. It is no longer sufficient to manage basic business applications and resources such as ERP, email, and silos of heterogeneous data. The bar has been raised higher than ever, and the role of IT is evolving to meet it. As a result, IT must support applications and services that make it possible for the business to provide new, diverse customer experiences while generating expanding revenues via the emergent crown jewels of business: big data, cloud, and mobility.
In recent years, it seems like technology is changing faster than it used to in decades past. As employees devour newer technologies such as smartphones, tablets, wearables, and other devices, and as they become more comfortable with solutions such as Dropbox and Skype, their demands on enterprise IT intensify. Plus, management and other decision makers are also increasing their demands on enterprise IT to provide more infrastructure with less cost and time. Unfortunately, enterprise IT organizations often don’t see much, if any, associated increases in funding to accomodate these demands.
It seems that with each passing year the speed at which new and emerging technologies are transforming business increases in almost direct proportion to impact. We now all live in an era of digital business transformation that is being enabled by rapid advances in telecommunications services. These changes do not just impact the way employees work; they profoundly change the way customers interact with businesses of all sizes.
