Amazon Redshift Spectrum—a single service that can be used in conjunction with other Amazon services and products, as well as external tools—is revolutionizing the way data is stored and queried, allowing for more complex analyses and better decision making.
Spectrum allows users to query very large datasets on S3 without having to load them into Amazon Redshift. Traditionally, rollout of a new software version has been a critical and painful process. In the past, new versions were implemented along with a maintenance period (i.e., service downtime),

Elastic Load Balancing automatically distributes incoming web tra?c across multiple EC2 instances. With Elastic Load Balancing, you can add and remove EC2 instances as your needs change without disrupting the overall ?ow of information. If an EC2 instance fails, Elastic Load Balancing automatically reroutes the tra?c to the remaining running EC2 instances. If a failed EC2 instance is restored, Elastic Load Balancing restores the tra?c to that instance.
