Digital collaboration is a lifeline for today’s businesses.
As companies from all types of industries become more reliant on digital processes and communication, solutions need to emerge to make them both easier to use and practical. No longer do businesses have to be dependent on physical documents and paper trails. Advances in collaborative document management software help companies and organizations gain the upper hand over competitors. This starts with the ability to smooth out process
workflows within the organization, and requires enabling more cost-savings and time management productivity wins.
According to a recent survey by the Compliance, Governance and Oversight Council, almost 70% of the electronic content and information organizations retain has no business or legal value. It’s simply digital detritus, retained because 1) we think we might need it sometime, 2) we forget about it, or 3) we don’t have policies and software in place to get rid of it. Ultimately, though, this unnecessary accumulation of content can create real problems in terms of e-discovery, regulation, management and cost.

Organizations have gained significant benefit from virtualizing servers and storage environments, and now face the daunting task of deploying new network architectures to keep pace. Software-defined networking holds significant promise to deliver a new network architecture that is abstracted and virtualized; however, organizations would be well served to learn from previous efforts to virtualize other domains in order to avoid making the same mistakes. Riverbed and VMware joined forces to help eliminate those problems and make it easier to deploy VXLAN overlay networks in highly virtualized data centers by integrating application-aware network performance management software and vSphere 5.1
