Thinking About eCommerce In Isolation
Ignoring Customer Experience
No Advanced Analytics
Failure Maintain and Improve Systems
All organizations require software systems to conduct daily operations. These strategic enterprise assets are often acquired or created in isolation of each other as an organization grows, particularly for those that provide services rather than physical products. Over time, these systems become complex, overlapping and highly dependent on one another, so more effort must be expended to discover the full effects of any system change. The ability of an entity to update, replace or improve the overall capabilities of the enterprise can become severely impaired. Moreover, support and administrative costs for these critical assets inevitably grow to be a major burden. Add to all this the need to control licensing, follow the organizationís policies and ensure security for the internal network, and it becomes clear that some manner of oversight is required for the enterprise to be successful.
LinuxONE from IBM is an example of a secure data-serving infrastructure platform that is designed to
meet the requirements of current-gen as well as next-gen apps. IBM LinuxONE is ideal for firms that

requirements list will find that LinuxONE comes built in with best-in-class security features
such as EAL5+ isolation, crypto key protection, and a Secure Service Container framework.
? Uncompromised data-serving capabilities: LinuxONE is designed for structured and
unstructured data consolidation and optimized for running modern relational and nonrelational
databases. Firms can gain deep and timely insights from a "single source of truth."
? Unique balanced system architecture: The nondegrading performance and scaling capabilities
of LinuxONE ó thanks to a unique shared memory and vertical scale architecture ó make it

In September 2012, the New York City Board of Health approved
a measure to ban the sale of large sodas and other sugary drinks in
restaurants, movie theaters, sports arenas and street carts in a first
of its kind restriction in the US. At the forefront of this measure
was Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The mayor noted that 6,000
New Yorkers die every year from obesity-related illness. Some
ethnic groups in the city have rates of overweight and obesity
approaching 70 percent of adults. African-American New Yorkers
are three times as likely, and Hispanic New Yorkers twice as likely,
as white New Yorkers to die from diabetes.1
Is this social policy
run amuck? Is it, as some have suggested, an infringement on
individual rights? Or is it simply recognition that health issues
cannot be treated in isolation from the many other factors that
affect an individualís or a communityís health?
In many enterprises, marketing is a multichannel effort that
includes a wide range of touch points. The touch points
range from websites and email promotions to traditional print
advertising, postal mail, and broadcast, and direct sales by phone and in-person sales teams. But too often, each channel works independently, accountable to its own objectives, unaware of the efforts and results made within other marketing channels. As a result, call centers speak to customers without knowing the
offers the customers previously accepted or rejected. In addition,
emails launch without reference to online promotions and
websites present messages that disregard their visitorsí previous contact history.

As organizations rely on IT to support critical business processes to an ever-greater degree, the importance of application performance management (APM) is growing. Gone are the days when systems monitoring and management could focus on
components in isolation; instead, organizations must ensure that applications are operating at top e?ciency from end to end to support critical business processes. This requires a holistic focus on the end userís application experience.
One of the biggest dangers in establishing best practices for your contact center is to do so in isolation from your self-service stakeholders. Instead, all customer "touch-points" must be viewed as part of a continuum. Customer touch points include Web Self-Service, Interactive Voice Response, Contact Center Agents, and Face-to-Face transactions. By tracking the interplay between these, you can more easily identify meaningful key performance indicators.
Managing and maintaining your key assets throughout their entire lifecycle is critical to your organizations success. Rather than looking at each part of the asset's lifecycle in isolation or only focusing on the operational phase, your asset management solution should enable a more holistic view. It should help you manage the entire cycle.
“Medical grade DC/DC converters” is an often used, but more often abused, description of a class of converters that are increasingly in demand. What are actually the particular requirements that medical applications place on DC/DC converters?
Some people want more "likes" because their goal is increased awareness. Others may struggle with losing customers and want improved customer service to reduce churn rates. Whichever challenge your strategy is trying to solve, you will find only a short-term solution if you deal with each challenge in isolation. What you need is an integrated approach that puts social media at the heart of your business as a solid foundation for long-term growth.
This flash point paper discusses system and application management and the struggle against service outages. With data overload and data isolation often being the root cause, a services-level approach can reduce the potential of impacting events.
