This paper examines some real-world examples of organizations that successfully made the transition with the help of an experienced vendor with bold new ideas
Today, IT leaders address the PC lifecycle across a continuum from control to transformation. Control is geared to optimization, while transformation focuses on the business impact of technology. Though the two approaches differ, they are not in opposition. They strive for the same goals and face similar challenges. As IT leaders provide their workforce with the tools to carry out the corporate mission, they should develop a PC lifecycle strategy that encompasses the key organizational needs of systems management, end-user productivity, business innovation and data-centric security. Read this Dell whitepaper to learn more about the findings of a recent Forrester Consulting study, “Digital Transformers Innovate, Digital Controllers Optimize”. This paper will help clarify the PC lifecycle continuum, from the basics of control to the advanced levels of transformation, so you will be better equipped to determine the needs of your organization on that spectrum.
In December 2017, Dell commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a study refresh to determine how enterprise organizations are structured from an IT departmental perspective. The study explored two types of IT: digital controllers and digital transformers; and the trends and challenges seen in PC provisioning. Digital controllers are often associated with top-down approach, linear structure, and emphasize security and accuracy. In contrast, digital transformers focus on innovation, employee-and customer-centricity, and prioritize speed and flexibility. By understanding the two groups, enterprises can overcome challenges that arise from PC life-cycle management. By investing in existing PC management tools and partnering with a company that specializes in PC deployment and management, firms can empower employees to better serve customers. Download this Forrester report to learn more about the approach and strategy differences in how these two groups address the dynamic digital demand

Robots play a key role in achieving manufacturing efficiencies and reducing labor intensive operations across diverse industries. Traditional machine vision has its limitations, however—typically, it can only conduct defect detection and classification based on fixed rules and work in fixed environments. To add on, the complexity of robotic system design poses challenges for many manufacturers to identify and integrate subsystems from multiple vendors.
The future of robot and machine solutions is a production environment where devices, machines, robots, and sensors are interoperable.
Find out how NexCOBOT integrates AI-driven vision capabilities into robotics to improve quality and accuracy over traditional machine vision—as well as providing an open and modular solution for users to develop a robot control system that best fits their particular application requirements.

Car-sharing, ride-sharing and ride-hailing aren’t
new. Uber and other personal mobility services
have redefined how people move from place to
place. And now these services are beginning to
redefine traditional car ownership itself. As people
move from one vehicle to another, their personal
information and preferences need to follow them,
so the car they use feels like their own. Blockchain is
defined as a shared, immutable ledger, and it can
address many of the challenges that new types of
personal mobility present.
Security leaders across all industries face mounting
challenges. Cyberattacks are continually growing in
volume, complexity, and sophistication, and incident
response (IR) teams are pushed to the limit of their time,
skill, and resources. Additionally, the average Security
Operation Center (SOC) uses more than 75 different
security tools – making full visibility nearly impossible
and integrating those tools challenging as well.
Digital transformation is poised to change the supply chain more
profoundly than any other functional area and more dramatically than at
any point in its history in terms of driving efficiency and resiliency to
disruption. In the context of the challenges facing supply chains, both now
and in the future, it becomes clear that the old ways of working will not
suffice and that even best-in-class performance today is unlikely to be good
enough in the future. It is the view of IDC that the supply chain must
become a "thinking" supply chain, one that is intimately connected to all
data sources, enabled with comprehensive and fast analytics, openly
collaborative through cloud-based commerce networks, conscious of
cyberthreats, and cognitively interwoven. According to IDC supply chain research, technology is emerging as a prime
driver of change, particularly artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
