The Future of Work is not just about automation and technology upgrades, but a holistic strategy that aims to leverage digital technologies, attitudes, and behaviors to reinvent the way businesses engage with their employees, partners, and customers to deliver superior experiences that result in sustained competitive advantage.
This IDC InfoBrief, sponsored by HP Inc., outlines the key trends, challenges, and priorities for the Future of Work and a framework that organizations can utilize to drive transformation across the three dimensions of Workspace, Workforce, and Workculture to future-proof their organizations for the digitalized era.
Like the oxygen we breathe, journey analytics brings life to the customer behind those devices, over time getting to know their favorite pastry choice, when they’re most likely to buy gas, and how long they stay online while in the station’s café.
If you want your customers to enjoy seamless, personalized experiences, you need to treat them like people. That means marketing to the person — not the device. When you know a customer’s interests, wants, and needs — perhaps even before they do — you’ve succeeded at becoming a true experience business. For some, this may require a shift from analytics as a tool to analytics as a way of life. It may also mean evolving corporate or office culture.
As IT evolves towards a more business-aligned position, it must seek out new ways of working that support more effective operations, service creation, and service delivery. These include technologies, processes, and a culture that supports higher levels of accountability, as well as more dynamic responsiveness to business needs.
