The City of Santa Barbara, California is located just 90 miles northwest of Los
Angeles is the county seat of Santa Barbara County with a population of just
over 90,000. Often referred to as the ‘American Riviera’, Santa Barbara is located

supports all technology functions and operations for the City, including data

Digital transformation is not a buzzword. IT has moved from the back office to the front office in nearly
every aspect of business operations, driven by what IDC calls the 3rd Platform of compute with mobile,
social business, cloud, and big data analytics as the pillars. In this new environment, business leaders
are facing the challenge of lifting their organization to new levels of competitive capability, that of
digital transformation — leveraging digital technologies together with organizational, operational, and
business model innovation to develop new growth strategies. One such challenge is helping the
business efficiently reap value from big data and avoid being taken out by a competitor or disruptor
that figures out new opportunities from big data analytics before the business does.
As the generation that pioneered the social media persona, Gen Y aren’t known for fading into the background – the average Gen Yer juggles four different social media accounts, crafting individual personalities on each. But despite their desire to stand out, today’s young people are especially keen to work together; so much so that 40% would even pay out of their own pocket for social collaboration tools at work
Despite this, workplaces aren’t always giving them the tools they need to work effectively with one another. While 38% of Gen Y feel that outdated modes of collaboration obstruct a company’s ability to innovate, 71% say they face challenges using their company’s collaboration tools. As a result, they’re taking it upon themselves to create collaborative working environments, share innovative ideas and embrace the diversity of thought that comes along with it.

Employers may ask a consumer reporting agency (CRA) to implement internal
systems to evaluate background checks as part of the hiring process. An adjudication
matrix (also known as a hiring matrix) is commonly used by employers to designate
what types of crimes over certain time periods may make an individual ineligible for
employment. An adjudication matrix will typically contain labels such as “clear” or
“ineligible” that designate how the individual’s background check results lined up
with the matrix.
Your goal is high availability for the applications, databases, virtual machines (VMs), servers, and data that run your business. When access is lost or interrupted, recovery speed is critical, and must be measured in minutes and seconds, not hours of days. And if your backup and recovery strategy includes point solutions with limited coverage, legacy approaches that don't support today's modern technologies, or manual proc cesses that are time-consuming and complex, you may not be ready when disaster strikes.
The main rule for acing your back-to-school marketing is basically the same as any math or history exam: Come prepared. And in 2019, with so much digital technology in the hands of consumers, it also helps to be willing to experiment. Make sure to keep an eye on results throughout the season and focus on what works. With a flexible omnichannel platform like Selligent Marketing Cloud, you can make changes on the fly and adjust your initiatives as needed, also supported by marketing-specific A.I.
Traditional backup systems fail to meet the needs of modern organisations by focusing on backup, not recovery. They treat databases as generic files to be copied, rather than as transactional workloads with specific data integrity, consistency, performance, and availability requirements.

Lead scoring is an objective ranking of one sales lead against another. This not only helps align the right follow-up to the corresponding inquiry, it also helps marketing and sales professionals identify where each prospect is in the buying process.
The process of defining lead scores improves alignment and collaboration between marketing and sales teams. After all, by jointly establishing an objective definition of a quality lead, sales and marketing can exchange better feedback on the quality of leads being passed to sales. Plus, lead scoring helps ensure that the best leads are followed up on immediately by prioritizing leads according to revenue potential and buyer readiness.

Today’s financial professionals have access to robust tools that offer a detailed picture of a company’s success in real time. With dashboards reporting in-depth data, a CFO can merely glance at a computer to analyze how well the business is doing in key areas.
Despite the impressive technology available today, many businesses have yet to make a change. In a survey of 1,500 finance professionals, nearly half reported relying on gut instinct rather than hard data to make important business decisions. The survey—commissioned by Epicor and conducted by Redshift Research Ltd.—also revealed that a majority of CFOs and financial decision-makers are still relying on spreadsheets to interpret business data.
In our “Instinct Meets Insight” eBook, you can explore the survey results and learn how a modern financial IT infrastructure lets decision-makers back up instinct with relevant data they can use to help their businesses grow.
