Organizations are at a strategic crossroads. According to IDC analysts,1
two-thirds of CEOs will
center their corporate strategies around digital transformation initiatives. The goal of digital
transformation is only partly to make existing functions more effective. The greater goal is to be
able to do new things and use existing data in new, better ways.
Yet, 72% of current IT spending2—and the focus of IT resources—is on maintaining existing
systems. This creates tension between what needs to be done today and what should be done
for the future.
Middle-tier applications, according to IDC,3
are the core of a digital transformation strategy
because they provide data integration, messaging, and application programming interface (API)
management. Middle-tier applications also provide a platform for application development and
management that can handle traditional enterprise applications and cloud-native, distributed

Learn how a security rationalization process helps CISOs optimize your security infrastructure while improving the bottom line. Development velocity is accelerating as enterprises adopt DevOps methodologies, yet security is still not integrated into the coding and deployment processes. Security teams are falling further behind as their manual processes and controls can’t scale at the same rate as development. This paper discusses:
The impact the current approach to application security has on business
How shifting security left in the application development process, seamlessly integrating it “early and often,” can accelerate innovation
Questions the Board and C-suite are now asking about security: are you prepared?
Read this paper to learn how, by shifting security left in the development process, it’s now no longer an obstacle to velocity, innovation and competitiveness. Instead, it’s an asset.
Committed to advancing brain research, The Dana Foundation needed to transition to the cloud to drive efficiency and more effectively manage risk. With this shift, Dana moved from waterfall development to DevOps but still needed to maintain its strict security posture. In this case study Jim Rutt, CIO of The Dana Foundation, discusses his use of the CYBRIC continuous application security platform to move to DevOps, embedding security earlier in the development process and gaining full security visibility across the SDLC.

Despite all your planning, the release made it to market with some significant bugs, and your company has had to run damage
control. Now you’re getting questions about what went wrong, and before you know it, the blame game is in full force, with your
developers and testers pointing fingers at one another.
So what happened? Whose fault was it really? And what can you do better next time? The truth of the matter is, at a time when
the stakes for software development are higher than ever (and only continuing to rise), the blame game simply isn’t going to cut
it. And if you’re operating in a true DevOps environment, the finger pointing should never even happen in the first place.

Application performance management (APM) is an IT discipline that continues to evolve as new technologies appear. The new wave of microservices architecture and containerization has led to what is referred to as cloud-native development, and this approach has one of the fastest adoption rates of any new technology we have witnessed. With cloud-native environments there is the need to monitor and manage these new types of applications, but the challenge is that they are quite different from traditional monolithic systems.
This report delves into what the differences are, how these affect how they are monitored, and how a new generation of vendors have stepped up and introduced novel solutions to meet these challenges. We also examine the incumbent leaders in the APM market that have transformed their solutions to expand and cover cloud-native environments.
Enterprises invest in packaged applications, development systems, testing, services oriented architectures, middleware and analytics to align process automation with business cycles. When IT is successful in this alignment, cycles accelerate and we see improvements in business flexibility that we now take for granted.
