We employed a two-step study design to analyse today’s new car buyers’ experience, their customer journey with a special focus on current pain points and pain killers.

In Europe’s three core markets, Germany, France, and the UK, we first conducted 18 in-depth qualitative interviews, followed by an online questionnaire answered by a panel of 450 participants.

Results show a five-step customer journey consisting of the phases Information, Contact, Purchase, Handover and After Sales – however not seamlessly connected but displaying break points between phases.
