As shown in this white paper, there are several methods for reducing the PUE and the energy bill of a data center by means of free cooling. No system is perfect, and all systems described here have some limitations; some have regional advantages, others may offer advantages due to the size of the data center. Adiabatic assistance is useful but may not be used everywhere and not under all circumstances.
