In 2013, Bon Ton Stores invested in upgrading IT, continuing to update and expand its eCommerce sites, and launching a new mobile site supporting delivery of promotions and online purchasing. A central aspect of this technology upgrade involved the replacement of an x86 server environment, supporting eCommerce with ten IBM® PowerLinux™ 7R2 servers and IBM PowerVM® running IBM WebSphere® Commerce on SUSE Linux operating systems.
