This Forrester Total Economic Impact analysis is based on interviews with and data provided by 5 System z customers. The analysis shows a composite ROI of 199% and a pay back of 4.67 months when compared to distributed system alternatives. The sources of customer savings identified were related to less administrative staff required, reduced infrastructure maintenance, reduced storage costs and reduced down time expenses. Additionally the analysis found that these firms had more flexible and responsive IT capabilities and increased business credibility with stake holders and business partners.
