In a third party lab, three Dell Reference Configurations based on the Dell PowerEdgeTM R720 server, Dell EqualLogicTM PS6110XV storage arrays, and Dell Force10TM S4810P switches were tested. Tests measured how well the configurations handled increasing levels of Microsoft® SQL Server®, Microsoft Exchange Server, and Microsoft® Sharepoint® Server activity simulating 500, 1000, and 1,500 users accessing these applications simultaneously as well as failover features.
