In the real world, IT must combine hardware, software, and technologies from multiple vendors to solve business problems-often with great effort and mixed success. First coined by a mutual customer, 3cV is the combination of HP 3PAR Utility Storage with HP BladeSystem both powered by Intel® Xeon® processors and VMware virtualization solutions. The partnership aims to simplify the implementation and integration of these three products into a single IT infrastructure. ESG Lab first examined 3cV prior to the acquisition of 3PAR by HP to evaluate its suitability as a blueprint for utility computing in today's complex and dynamic IT environments. Since that time, HP has acquired 3PAR and integrated 3PAR technologies across the HP Converged Infrastructure portfolio which has driven increased demand for the 3cV solution.
